About Mr Srinivas Samsani

Mr Samsani is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Knee and Hip Surgery working at the Medway NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his orthopaedic registrar training from King’s, St Thomas and Guys training programme London and obtained FRCS postgraduate qualification from the Intercollegiate Board. After completion of orthopaedic training in the UK, he has undertaken fellowship training in Hip and Knee surgery at the Austin Health University Hospital, Melbourne Australia. He was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) by the Joint Committee of Higher Surgical Training (JCHST). He also completed a Masters Degree from the University of Birmingham in Surgery of Trauma.

Mr Samsani is a leading Orthopaedic Surgeon in Kent and specialises in Knee and Hip Surgery. He performs a wide range of surgical procedures from primary hip and knee replacement to some of the complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. He has pioneered and popularised the technique of Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement surgery at Medway which has benefited hundreds of patients with early functional recovery and less post-operativepain. Mr Samsani also has a special interest in Computer Assisted Surgery of the hip and knee, sports injuries of knee and hip and arthroscopy for hip impingement. He leads several quality improvement projects at Medway NHS Foundation Trust including Enhanced Quality Project following hip and knee replacement surgery and the Hip Fracture project.

Mr Samsani is QUESP (part 1 & 2) qualified and is involved in the training of junior doctors and specialist registrars in orthopaedics from London rotation. He also teaches at FRCS Orth revision course organised at Kings College Hospital, Medway Hospital and other teaching hospitals in the region.

Mr Samsani has an interest in clinical research and has presented his work at several national and international conferences. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals and co-authored a few orthopaedic text books. He was invited to deliver guest lectures at several international orthopaedic meetings in the field of knee and hip Surgery.

Mr Samsani was awarded Clinical Excellence points by Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Samsani’s private practice is based at Spire Alexandra Hospital, Chatham Kent.
